Tesla Batteries Brisbane will change the way we all view our energy use and needs. Tesla has developed a battery storage system that will ultimately remove the need to be grid connected or at very least make the grid the back up as opposed to traditional battery storage systems being viewed as the stand by back up system.
The design is thought to be used when the energy rates are high, so avoiding high energy costs during peak periods, Power Wall enables you to maximize self-consumption of solar power generation.
The average home uses more electricity in the morning and evening than during the day when solar energy is plentiful. Without a home battery, excess solar energy is often sold to the power company and purchased back in the evening. This mismatch adds demand on power
plants and increases carbon emissions. Power Wall bridges this gap between renewable energy supply and demand by making your home’s solar energy available to you when you need it

While we see the philosophy behind this currently in most states there is no peak and off peak rates associated with one meter. Generally we have 2 meters for this purpose, its not allowable to connect your main home use to the off peak meter. We use our off the grid or grid connect battery storage units differently, while Tesla are trying to develop a system with what we call “time of use”. Our off grid power systems use self generated energy when available, we also have time of use settings but as a rule if we have solar energy or stored energy no matter what time of day or night we use our own energy. So if your load is 2000 watts and the solar is producing 1000W the remaining 1000 watts needed comes from your battery zero from the grid, there is no point in having available stored energy if you are not going to use it specially if your night rate is the same as the daily energy rates.
While Tesla is about to release untested Tesla Batteries in Brisbane, we have our units already installed with full operating systems and online monitoring, these system use similar Lithium technology as the TESLA systems with full back end monitoring for early fault detection, these units can be grid connected or off the grid battery units with full auto generator start options, the systems can be expanded with ease unlike traditional Gel battery solutions and have an expected life of 20 years.
