New solar power systems should consider being battery ready with increased energy charges being applied in most states including victoria which is seeing the first state to put in place time of use charges so that energy used during peak periods will increase by as much as 4 times, this is where the off grid power solutions comes into its own, the battery ready inverter can be programmed to prioritise the energy use from the battery storage, if nominated the available energy will only be used between 4Pm and 8Pm reducing increase energy charges significantly.
